Too Busy to Rest? That’s Exactly Why You Need To.

Are you ever so busy driving that you forget to stop for gas?

If you have, tell me the story—I’m sure it’s hilarious. (And for my Tesla friends: yes, dead battery stories count too.)

Funny how no matter how busy we get, we always find time to fuel up. We never just "run out" on the highway.

So why do we think we're too busy for the things that fuel us—like sleep, exercise, and meditation?

I used to say those things were important. But truthfully? I wasn’t consistent. I kept blaming "not enough time."

Then a friend said something that flipped a switch for me:

"Meditation isn’t about the 20 minutes. It’s about the rest of the day."

It finally clicked.

When I take the time to sleep, move, and clear my mind, I'm actually more productive with the rest of my day—not less.

That’s when my mindset shifted from "I don’t have time" to "I can’t afford not to."

And that's when my habits finally stuck.
